I have always loved hair, but it took me a while to find myself making a career out of it. Throughout grade school, I spent most days in ballet class and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Dance Performance from UNC Charlotte. At 20 years old, I was pretty positive that I wanted to join the circus, and over a decade later I still haven't ruled out that possibility. After a few years and a handful of injuries, I decided that becoming the wigs and makeup manager for an opera house was the best way for me to stay close to the performance industry I held so dear, and off to cosmetology school I went.
Upon graduation from the Aveda Institute, I continued to develop my skills under celebrity makeup artist, James Ryder, in Los Angeles, California. I left the salon life in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016 and am now focused on site-specific work, such as special events, and editorial or film projects. In that time I’ve had the pleasure to work with household names all over the globe.
I've realized that my passion isn't limited to the art of dance, hair styling, or makeup; but expands beyond outer beauty into the heart and soul of each person I have the privilege to work with. I love that I still cry at almost every wedding whether I'm a guest or a stylist, and hope for this forever.
Working with couples on their wedding day is a privilege and responsibility that I don’t take lightly.
I’ve fallen in love with the process of collaborating with couples and their design teams to help them feel like the best versions of themselves on the most documented days of their lives. My goal is to help you achieve a timeless look while preserving your unique beauty and honoring your natural form so that you will see the most true representation of yourself when you look back on your heirloom photos and films.
Fostering meaningful connections with each client allows me to capture the most true representation of you and offer support and levity through potentially overwhelming special events.
Probably because I had trouble distinguishing them from princesses, but all that to say, I have been obsessed with you forever, and I cannot wait to help you feel confident and giddy with excitement every time you catch your reflection.
